Timing of passage south from San Fran to Galapagos and onward

Cruising friends are presently in Alaska, after navigating the northwest passage last summer. He has asked me if anyone has personal experience with the timing of his follow on passage from San Francisco next year- he wants to leave in February 2016 and head south to Mexico, Costa Rica and then over to the Galapagos, south to Easter Island and then SW to Isla Chiloe. He would appreciate feedback especially if you have sailed this route or know of a yacht that has. He is trying to get to Valpariso or Puerto Montt by the end of June 2016.

Hi,

You might also want to try posting this request on BCA's Facebook page. At https://www.facebook.com/BluewatercruisingCA

Jimmy Cornell's book, World Voyage Planner, lists all these cruising routes and the best time of year to travel.

Good luck
