Cruisers Marine Electrical Part I

In Preparation for Cruising:
Learn about your yacht's Electrical System
with Jeff Cote of Pacific Yacht Systems Inc.

The Electrical Building Blocks of Your Boat
Join Jeff Cote, an ABYC trained and NMEA certified marine technician, as he walks you through the major electrical building blocks of your boat. Understand what each electrical component does, how it interacts with the other systems and ensure that you have them installed properly. Jeff will answer some of the most common questions. Do you know if you can isolate your batteries in the case of an electrical fire? Is your charger the right size for your battery bank? Are your batteries properly sized for your boat? You’ll also learn how to size a solar array for your boat. Once you have the basics, learn how to maintain your electrical system properly and safely.

Instructor:
Jeff Cote is a systems design engineer, avid boater, entrepreneur, the author of the monthly column "Tech Talk" in Pacific Yachting Magazine and “Hotwire” in Northwest Yachting Magazine as well as regular yacht club and Power Squadron presenter. His company, Pacific Yacht Systems Inc., provides boaters with easy to use, reliable solutions for marine electrical and electronics. Jeff’s presentations are designed for beginners, tech-savvy, and DIY experts alike.

(Jeff will come to your boat and do a comprehensive review of the electrical systems, at a special value to be offered to attendees of this event.)
