47 Centre Cockpit Kennedy Sail Boat

47 Centre Cockpit, 1979 Kennedy Sail Boat, undergoing major refit for sale. Due to health reasons our dream can no longer be realized.  The boat is on the hard in Ladner, BC and needs someone who is passionate about boating and refitting. The boat is not ready to be launched but could be with a little work.

Boat Specs;

LOA 50ft, Length waterline 43ft , Draft 7ft, Hull speed 8.4knts; Cruise Speed 7.5knts; Displacement 42,500lbs; Ballast 12,000 lbs lead in steel fin bolted to hull; mast height 60 ft, Working Sail area 865 sq ft, Fuel tank in keel plus engine room.  Room for 40 gal plus tank in nav area, old tank removed, 300 gal water tank, room for holding tanks in aft cabin.


New paint, hull epoxy coated.


New never used installed:

Engine Isuzu 4BGI, 100 hp Naturally Aspirated; 18 stainless steel and glass opening port lights with screens; 4 bronze chrome covered port holes opening glass & screens; 7 Lewmar Ocean Series Hatches; 2 flush Aluminum Hatches 18 x 24 in aft deck; Lexan windshield in hard dodger; 25 gallon fuel tank in engine room; 1 ¾ Stainless Prop Shaft new cutlass bearing; Transmission Hurth HSWW450 2:1 ; 2 x 200 AMP Alternators; exhaust system; stainless steel railings


New not installed:

1 Anderson 52:1 self tailing electric winch; 2 Rule  4000gph bilge pumps, 1 stainless steel lighthouse  1501 anchor windlass with reversing circuit cockpit controlled, chain counter and roving remote with 50ft cable; deck cleats; Will all inned anchor Yacht cable, 2x 50’ gauge 4.0 for windlass; 400’ of 12/2, 500’ 12/3, 1000 of 14/2, 200’ 10/2; High efficiency Rudder & Shaft; stainless steel radar arch


Used Equipment to reinstall (removed for refit)

Radar, diesel heater, VHF Radio, 12V Refrigeration Unit with cold plat in gallery; Heart Freedom 10 – 1000 watt inverter/charger, Pedestal mounted 36” stainless steel wheel, wind generator (blades need replacing), solar panel, depth sounder, marine head, Winches 1 barlow #25 self tailing 2 spd, 2 knowlsey #9 (52:1), 2 Knowsley # 7 (44:1) and 3 Knowsley #6 (28:1); Standing rigging; sails, storm jib, Genoa and 2 main (1 needs to be recut due to refit), anchor and various cleats, stainless steel frame with canvas cockpit enclosure.
