Advice on Noon Ocean / True North 34?
Hi, Ken Russell and I are new members of the BCA. We are looking at a boat for sale, moored at Fisherman's Warf. The Haiduk is a Noon Ocean 34 (otherwise known as a True North 34). Does anyone know this boat or this make of boat? We are planning to sail coastal Washington State and BC and do some further adventuring - Alaska, Mexico and maybe beyond. This looks like a solid blue water boat but we don't have any experience with this particular make. Thanks! Deb

We have a Tradewind 34, which is the same Stan Huntingford design. Ours was built to a very high standard from 1976 to 1980. We have sailed this boat for over 15 years, in the Pacific NW and world wide. She is a very hardy and sea kindly boat. You can follow her adventures on

One thing to note is she will have excessive weather helm if the mast is raked back and/or if there is too much wt in the bow.

If you need more info contact us via our BCA profile.
