The 56th annual Vancouver International Boat Show runs January 17-21, 2018, at two great locations – indoors at BC Place and a Floating Show at Granville Island Maritime Market and Marina.

According to show producers, this is Western Canada's premier boat show – BC's largest showcase for the recreational boating industry and new 2018 products. In addition to displays from hundreds of marine suppliers, boating experts from around the world (including a number of BCA members) educate, inspire and entertain show attendees by sharing their experiences and expertise on everything from boating basics to spellbinding adventures.

BCA's presence at the Boat Show includes a booth and an offshore-proven boat (S/V Mayaluga) at Granville Island. Volunteering at the boat show provides approximately 75 BCA members with a great opportunity to share their passion for offshore cruising, promote (and sell!) the benefits of BCA membership to like-minded boaters, and check out the latest in boats and boating-related accessories and services.

BCA's membership drive at the Boat Show is an important part of our outreach - we can expect anywhere between 20-30 new members as a result of everyone's efforts.  People who join BCA during the Boat Show will receive a special Welcome Package filled with goodies and a discount on the one-time membership initiation fee.

Volunteers receive a free day-pass from the BCA Board of Directors as a token of thanks for their time.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Lana Wong.
