Vancouver Island has a very active chapter of the Association, primarily based in Sidney and Victoria. Meetings are held at 1900 hours on the third Tuesday of every month (except July and August) at the the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, address is 3475 Ripon Rd. Victoria, but is located in Oak Bay. The facility is excellent and is complete with a non-host bar. The meetings in June and December are social meetings which do not have a formal speaker.

Regular Club monthly meetings normally have a feature speaker who gives a presentation on an offshore cruising that they have taken or on a technical aspect of cruising. The chapter also runs an active education program, fleet education, and weather training for those headed offshore in the near future.
